Noun Sight Words
Pre-Primer Sight Words – Nouns
Role and Importance

Sight words are words that early learners of English are encouraged to recognize by sight, rather than by sounding them out. Pre-primer sight word nouns are the basic nouns learned early in their reading. These include simple and familiar words like “dog,” “cat,” “man,” and “sun.” They are usually the first words early learners see in books and stories.
Pre-primary Sight Words
Dialog cards engage learners in active recall—they learn to recognize the word before flipping the card. This strengthens long-term memory and recall. Repetion improves sight word recognition, and spelling.

Instructions
Look at the picture and the incomplete sentence on the face of each card. These two clues will help you in finding the correct answer. Flip the card to confirm the correct answer.
The back of the card provides not only the correct answer but also features sentences showing how the word is used. The sentences range from very simple sentences, to compound, and complex ones.
The best way to use this as a learning tool is to first say the word, FLIP the card to check the answer. Read the correct word, then spell it (example: C-A-T), and then say the word or sentence again. Track your progress by selecting whether you were right or wrong!
