Sight words are a fundamental aspect of learning English. CVC words are simple but common. words. They are made up of a consonant (first letter) followed by a vowel, and then a third, final letter (consonant).

Dialog Cards are Not Translated

Exercises and puzzles should not be translated. The objective of these exercises is to build your vocabulary, and teach you how to read and think in English. Keep in mind that many clues and words are difficult to translate directly to (or from) other languages.

  • Look at the picture and read the clue
  • Say the word out loud
  • Spell the word letter by letter (out loud)
  • Say the word again
  • Turn the card to see the correct answer; read out loud the example sentences
  • Track progress by marking each card as “I got it right!,” or “I got it wrong.”
