Live video sessions use the Zoom platform, which is well-known for its stability and user-friendly interface. Moreover, it’s free and doesn’t require a subscription. With Zoom, you can experience stable video, crisp audio, interactive whiteboards, real-time screen sharing, cloud-recorded sessions, and other great features in support of online learning. Join your class from anywhere, using your tablet or mobile phone with mobile-friendly sessions. If you don’t have access to Zoom, other platforms are supported.

One of the benefits of a Free trial lesson is that it allows testing of your computer, tablet, or mobile phone with the network connection. Also, check out your dedicated language coach! As a minimum, in order for lessons to be effective, you must meet the following technical requirements:
Computer | Tablet | Mobile Phone
Access to a desktop computer, tablet or mobile phone that is both audio and video-enabled.
Comfortable, Quiet Setting
Find a quiet, comfortable setting where you can sit comfortably; perhaps with a table and good lighting. Avoid sitting in areas where glare can make your screen hard to see. Also, it should be quiet, and in an area where you won’t be disturbed or interrupted.
Stable Internet Connection
Access to a stable internet connection; access to VPN is not normally required.
Audio and Video
Your computer or mobile device should be audio-enabled, and be connected to a microphone, speaker or headset. A built-in video camera or web-cam is highly recommended.
Supporting Apps
Our preferred video platform is ZoomTM (app or browser-based). If you do not have access to Zoom then alternate platforms such as Skype, Webex, Go-to-Meeting, and Microsoft Teams. For students located in China, Tencent Meeting (Voov) is also a good option. While social media apps such as WeChat, Google, and WhatsApp offer video chat, and are convenient, they do not have the range of features that allow for a better learning experience. Also bandwidth is poor, screen sharing limited, sessions cannot be recorded, and they do not have the desired level of security.
