Teaching Philosophy

I motivate students to perfect their language skills. I make sure this is done in a fun and enriching experience. Programs focus on correct pronunciation, developing the power to use the right word at the right time, timely phrases, and an awareness of the language-culture link. Advanced learners, those that already have a good foundation in the language, can draw on my experience as a language coach, and also as a mentor with vast experience in proessional comunications.

This includes the teachi ng of foundational elements of the language, speaking, reading, and writing. I also offer expert coaching in professionbnal communiction and presentations, and curated content to aid in career development and writing.

Background & Experience

I have advanced degreees and practical experience in the natural sciences; have worked in a research capacity and as a project lead; Most of my career has been in public education and strategic communications. I have served as an educator with teaching experience at uninversity in Canada. I have the benefit of more than 25 years’ experience in management and leadership roles at the executive level, spanning both the public and private sectors in Canada, and 15 years as an international business consultant with projects in Canada, USA, Europe, Asia and Russia.

My students are located around the world: Japan, Repubic of South Korea, Peoples Republic of China, France, United Kingdom, United States of America, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE. Professional clients include CEOs, lawyers, medical professionals, academics and business people.
